Runaway Girls Sought by Police

Two girls, a 12 and 14-year-old, ran away from residence in Mountain View and have ties to San Jose.

Two unrelated juvenile females may have run away together Friday evening, police officials inform.

The Mountain View Police Department hopes to find them and has released pictures and descriptions of 12-year-old Cynthia Ramirez and 14-year-old Selena Vasquez, both who reside on the 500 block of View Street and attend school in Mountain View.

The girls may have disappeared just before 8 p.m. on Dec. 14, 2012. There is no indication of foul play, according to the MVPD.

They have recently lived in and have ties to San Jose.

  • Cynthia Ramirez (left picture) is described as a Hispanic female, 5’03”, 112 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. Her hair may have blonde or red highlights. She was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, jeans, and black shoes.
  • Selena Vasquez (right picture) is described as a Hispanic female, 5’01”, 116 lbs., with brown and red hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark purple hooded sweater or sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

Anyone with information should call the Mountain View Police Department Records Division at (650) 903-6344. After hours information should be provided to the Mountain View Communications Center at (650) 903-6395.
