Waldorf High School Benefit Concert

Waldorf School of the Peninsula presents its second annual High School Benefit Concert on Friday, March 23 at 7:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 625 Hamilton Ave, Palo Alto. All proceeds after expenses will go to the St Vincent’s de Paul’s food bank at St. Athanasius Church in Mountain View, which is also home to the school’s middle and high school programs.

Concert selections range from classical and traditional to modern and include solo, group, and whole-class performances of classical chamber music, recorder ensemble, African drumming and dance, eurythmy (a dance form unique to Waldorf education), creative music and chorus. 

Suggested donations are $8, adults, $5, students and $10, first two rows. Visit waldorfpeninsula.org for the link to get advance tickets on line.

Interested students and parents are also invited to attend the high school’s last Open House for the 2011-12 school year on Saturday, March 31, from 10:30am-12:00noon. Visitors will have the opportunity to view student work, meet faculty, experience sample lessons and participate in a question-and-answer session. Please plan to attend the entire program.
