Bad Flu Season Gets Worse: Here's Where to Get a Shot in Mountain View

The flu appears to be the worst in four years in California and intensifying, according to early data from the Centers for Disease Control.

Did you get through the holidays without a flu shot? Don't delay anymore.

Flu season has come early in parts of the United States, and is hitting hard. Cases of influenza in Silicon Valley are at the moderate stage right now, about the same as were last year, according to data on Google's Flu Trends. (Los Mountain View-specific data is not available on Flu Trends.)

Across the country, however, in 41 of 48 states, Boston declared a public health emergency Wednesday. Minnesota and South Carolina have reported 29 and 22 deaths so far, according to a CNN report

Overall in California, activity is considered moderate so far, the same as at this time in 2011, according to Flu Trends.
