Berlin Wall Dedication in November

If you've driven by or stopped by the Mountain View Public Library recently you've noticed some construction.

That has been due to the library's new permanent installation—two pieces of the Berlin Wall.

These segments have been in Mountain View since 1989 at 2685 Marine Way in the North Bayshore neighborhood.

The Golzen family donated the pieces to the city and paid for the storage and installation.

After suggestions from the public, Visual Arts Committee and approval from the City Council, the library will become their new home.

According to Library Services Director Rosanne Macek, the dedication for the pieces will take place mid-November.
