El Camino Hospital and Nurses Reach Tentative Agreement

Mountain View and Los Gatos nurses would still need to ratify new contract.

Mountain View-based El Camino Hospital announced Tuesday that it had reached a tentative agreement with the Professional Resource for Nurses.

The agreement, once ratified, would be for a three year contract for the hospital’s registered nurses.

"We are pleased with the outcome of these contract discussions and know that El Camino Hospital and the hospital Board of Directors are committed partners to our nurses," said Patricia Aleshire Briggs, MS, RN, president of PRN.

Ratification by PRN members will take place on March 28, after which the hospital Board of Directors will consider endorsing the agreement at its next meeting on April 10.

"We thank the PRN for being a good collaborative partner in the development of this three-year contract," said Tomi Ryba, chief executive officer of El Camino Hospital. "Our nurses are the backbone of our organization and we value the contribution they make as we move forward to meet the Triple Aim of quality, service and accountability."
