Get Out! St. Paddy's Festivities and an Underwear Fun Run

A look at what's taking place in Mountain View this weekend.

will be celebrating St. Paddys Day from Saturday morning till the wee hours on Sunday morning.  For serious rugby fans, the festivities begin at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, watching 6 Nations Wales vs. France, followed by Ireland vs. England at 10 am. During the day, there will be kids’ face painting and a live band, Rosin the Bow. Then at 9 p.m. DJ Ceasar will be in the mix.

is also having an all-day celebration, from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. boasting their famous corned beef -- which is mixed delectably with red potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and covered with horseradish and mustard sauces. You can also find $3.25 Oatmeal Stout and Green Beer pints and $1 green jello shots.

will be toasting to St. Paddy in an unconventional way. From 2 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturday, they’ll be serving green wine to the masses.

In the spirit of both Bay to Breakers and St. Paddy’s Day, Hacker Dojo is holding a mile long fun run at 1 p.m. Saturday to raise the $250,000 they need to comply with a new fire code. Runners are encouraged to sport their undies or crazy costumes, but the more timid can come sporting green. It will be followed by an afternoon of drinking and merrymaking, along with a bake sale.

If you’re looking for a cultural experience outside of St. Paddy’s Day on Saturday, Chattanooga Bar & Grill in Santa Clara is hosting their Persian from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. There will be belly dancing, a three-course specialty Norouz menu, and a “Half Seen” table with an assortment of pastries, candies, cookies and fresh fruits
