Get Out! Things To Do This May 26-June 1

A book signing, a power breakfast, a big soccer match, an elderly care seminar and a new musical all in Mountain View.

  1. Spend Thursday evening at , 301 Castro St., where Undecided: How to Ditch the Endless Quest for Perfect and Find the Career-and Life-That's Right for You. Beginning at 7 p.m., their discussion will be followed by a signing of their book. For more information, visit the Books Inc. website or call 650-428-1234.
  2. The meets this Friday, the fourth Friday of the month, at , 201 Castro St. The Bootstrappers is a gathering of like-minded business people who meet to have serious conversations about growing a business based on internal cash flow and organic profit. Members meet at 9 a.m. over breakfast, introduce and share concerns about their businesses.
  3. Watch European soccer rivalries F.C. Barcelona go head-to-head against Manchester United in the Champions League Finals, this Saturday, May 28 at 11:45 a.m. in , 223 Castro St. The $10 cover charge will go towards the food and beverage of your choice.
  4. Also on Saturday, May 28, the , 585 Franklin St., will offer the seminar “Senior Care 101” from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the library’s Community Room. During this class a panel of experts will discuss the many resources available to seniors, their families, and caretakers. For more information, email mvpubliclibrary@gmail.com.
  5. Turn Wednesday evening, June 1, in to a very early start on the weekend by checking out “[title of show]”, a new musical adapted from the book by Hunter Bell with music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen. To run through June 26 at the Mountain View Center for The Performing Arts, “[title of show]” is “Broadway’s hit backstage comedy is an unabashed love letter to the agony, ecstasy, and idiocy of making musical theatre”.
