If No Chick-fil-A, How About a Denny's?

Property owner of the Sizzler lot was also approached by the 24-hour sit-down food restaurant. Would that project have passed muster?

What should go at 1962 W. El Camino Real?

That's currently the location of the Sizzler in Mountain View and could have been the home of Chick-fil-A, before the city council plucked that idea apart on Tuesday.

Property owner Kathy Lin had appealed to the elected officials and the community to give Chick-fil-A a chance because Sizzler didn't want to pay market value rent. She added another interested fact in her statement: Denny's had also shown interest in leasing the 0.74-acre property.

Denny's restaurants don't have drive-throughs, but they are open all night long, seven days a week.
