After 20 Years, Kaiser Permanente Still in MV

Councilwoman Macias represented city at medical office festivities.

In 1991, Kaiser Permanente opened a medical office on Castro Street.

Twenty years later, Councilwoman Laura Macias joined former and current physicians and staff member to celebrate the Mountain View's office's

The downtown medical office, located at 555 Castro Street across from the, provides service to more than 20,000 community members that live and work in the area. Home to 34 physicians and a staff of 150, the facility logs 80,000 medical visits each year.

Recently, the medical office installed a state-of-the-art digital mammography equipment, which has resulted in the medical office's reduction of an annual 5-thousand pound dangerous waste output to only 10 pounds since the machine eliminates the need for chemicals and water to process the films.
