Mountain View Library Celebrates Freedom to Read

Did you know that John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath was once on a banned books list?

The great American classic was once not considered so great, according to information at the Mountain View Library from the American Library Association which records attempts by individuals or groups to have books removed from public libraries.

Other notables on the list include The Lord of the Rings and The Great Gatsby.

The library has a kiosk with some of the "banned" books in its collection on the second floor.
