Mountain View Starting Line for 'Runners for Boston'

Last Sunday, dozens of runners gathered locally to run on Stevens Creek Trail in solidarity with the victims and the entire city of Boston after the tragedy at the marathon.

The tragedy of the explosions at the 2013 Boston Marathon impacted many around the world and in particular the running community.

Dozens of runners met outside of the Burger King at 177 E. El Camino Real in Mountain View last Sunday at the behest of Cupertino-based FitGeek, an independent running stores, which organized a solidarity run and t-shirt fundraiser.

Shino Tanaka, founder of Mountain View Veterans, joined in the four-mile run down Stevens Creek Trail. She joined others in blue and yellow to show their support for the Boston Marathon.
