Mountain View's Facebook Community Reacts to Boston Tragedy; Flags to Fly at Half-Staff

The explosions at the Boston Marathon have brought the attention of the world to Bean Town, and Facebook quickly became an avenue for these thoughts.

Boston is nearly 3,100 miles away from Mountain View, but the events from April 15 have touched people locally.

Especially since 14 residents of Mountain View participated in the historic Boston Marathon.

On Facebook, the Mountain View community responded swiftly with comments of shock, surprise and sympathy:
