Patch Main Street U a Success

Businesses and organizations from Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale and even Milpitas stopped by to gain social media skills and learn more about Patch.

Tuesday, Mountain View and Los Altos Patch hosted its first Main Street U, a free, two-hour event designed to teach business owners and organizations how to improve their connection to the community online.

Twenty-seven people came to learn about how to take better advantage of social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter, with mini-workshops delivered by Patch staffers, and why blogging, social media experts and Patch can add your own content to the online conversation.

"I learned a lot at the workshop today and I really appreciate the information and strategies you shared with us, thank you!" said Gena Zolotar of Mountain View-Los Altos Adult Education by email.
