Patch Picks: Gourmet Wine & Food Event at Moffett Field Saturday

This weekend, on Sept. 24, hang-out by Hangar One, tour the Moffett Field Historic Museum and enjoy gourmet food and wine tasting—all to benefit the museum.

Conceived from her wine tasting and buying events experiences, Deepti Illa, co-founder and president of Barrel Tap, has found a new way to bring the wine country to wine lovers, while benefiting a local non-profit institution. This event is Barrel Tap Wine & Food Event.

You can spend your afternoon in a cozy and friendly setting, tasting award-winning, small-lot wines from artisan wineries and be able to purchase them while live band music entertains the crowd, and complimentary gourmet food samples are served. Word has it that a F-104 and Cobra Helicopter will be provided for attendees’ enjoyment.

Not only will you be sipping and savoring, but you will also support the Moffett Field Historical Museum, a local non-profit dedicated to preserving the Naval history of Moffett Field.

Location: In the parking lot north of Moffett Field Historical Society Museum on Severyns Avenue

Time: 1 to 5 p.m.

Cost: $45 in advance, $50 at the door (includes wine tasting, food samples, and admission to the museum)

VIP Admission is $70 advance purchase only which includes the above plus a special wine tote and gourmet lunch

Designated Driver Pass: $10 (does not include wine tasting).
