About three dozen people waited half a day at Moffett Field to welcome Sergeant Brian Jergens, who suffered poly-traumatic injuries when a roadside bomb struck the Humvee he rode in Afghanistan.
Today, under heavy medical observation, the Oklahoma-native traveled to California with his wife to continue his intensive care at the U.S. Veterans Administration Hospital in Palo Alto. His flight had been delayed several times because he continued to get blod clots. He has severe injuries and arrived in a stretcher.
