Photo of the Day: Put a Smile on a Bad Situation

A 7-year-old Bubb Elementary student due to fire and the subsequent water damage.

By midnight, when she realized that she wouldn't return home that night, a frown began forming on her face and she muttered, "My cozy bed, I'm going to miss my cozy bed, I've never slept in any other bed."

Not more than five minutes later, a member of the Mountain View Fire Department walked over with a  stuffed monkey and presented it to the child and said that a firefighter wanted her to have it.

The very polite girl wanted to thank the firefighter. So, he walked over. Her faced beamed brighter than all of the fire truck lights on the street. She said, "Thank You," and gave him a hug.

Definitely an uplifting moment during a sad situation.
