POLL: Readers' Choice—What's Your Favorite Flower Shop?

Whether you buy bouquets or single stems for an occasion or no occasion at all, where do you get your flowers in Mountain View?

How do you say "I love you?" How do you say "I'm sorry" or "Congratulations!"?

One of planet Earth's most beautiful, delicate and useful attributes are flowers. Their amazing and vibrant colors, and of course sweet nectar, attracts birds, bees and insects who then pollinate other flowers and which in turn gives us the food we eat.

Flowers are an essential part of the cycle of life—and an essential part of any healthy relationship.

With so many options from daisies, daffodils, lilies, orchids, tulips, pansies, peonies, poinsettas or of course, the ever seductive roses, there are flowers out there to help convey any emotion.

And whether it's a bouquet for Mother's Day, a corsage for your Prom date, flowers to the new parents, or a wreath for a deceased loved one, giving flowers is a gesture of thoughtfulness and caring.

So where do you shop for your flowers in Mountain View?

Cast your votes in our poll and drop a comment about why you think your favorite place is worth a visit. Click on the links above and rate the business on its Patch Directory listing. You can even leave a review.

Voting in the poll is open until 9 a.m. Friday. The winner will be determined using a point system based on the most verified votes together with the best ratings in businesses' directory listings. In case of a tie, the business with the highest number of positive reviews in the listings and comments in the Readers' Choice article will be declared the winner. Voting results posted in real time shall not be deemed official until Patch has reviewed and confirmed all of the votes.

That's a nice story Randy. It's nice to find mom & pop shops that are still around and conjure up great memories. Where do you shop for flowers in Mountain View?

You forgot to put Costco on the list. Sometimes the flowers there are a great deal. Especially the tulips. Safeway and the farmers' market have good deals too. Given a choice I'm walking away with either sunflowers or tulips every time. Fresh flowers in my house is a must!

Fleur de Lis on Castro has a warm owner named May. May has taken it upon herself to donate flowers for the Champions for Youth breakfast every year for many years. And, her flower arrangements are beautiful. I like to do business with people like that.

Great to know about Costco flowers. I'm a new member at Costco and don't know my way around the warehouse yet. I definitely love walking around and just smelling the flowers in the streets of Mountain View.

I'll walk into Fleur de Lis one of these days. Maybe we can do an article about her!
