Speck Team Represents in Miles for Migraines

The Mountain View-based company ran to raise funds for a cause.

Speck does more than just sell mobile device accessories.

Their "Speck in Motion" run/walk team participated on Saturday, May 18 in the Miles for Migraine run in Mountain View's Shoreline Park, according to their Facebook page. They "even won an award for largest team!" they boasted! Speck even gave all participants an iPhone 5 case.

Speck's first and only storefront is located at 212 Homer Ave.

The Miles for Migraine 5K/10K run began after medical doctors, researchers and clinicians were challenged, in 2007, by the legislative aides of Congressional representatives to increase public support and to fundraise in their communities.

The competitive race, Miles for Migraine held its first 5K and 10K run and 2-Mile walk in the fall of 2008 in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park with approximately 200 participants.

At the race in Mountain View's Shoreline Park on May 18, a total of 176 people participated.

The next Miles for Migraines race takes place on Sept. 14 in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. This would mark the race's 5th anniversary.
