Tony Reyes Funeral Mass and Burial Tuesday in Cupertino

A vigil was held at San Jose State on Sunday, the pro-bowler's alma mater.

Pro-bowler Tony Reyes will be laid to rest Tuesday, Oct. 9.

Reyes, who was born in Mountain View, raised in Cupertino, and lived in San Bruno, died in a vehicle accident on Sept. 28.

A funeral mass and burial will take place on at St. Joseph's Church in Cupertino at 10:30 a.m.

Reyes, a San Jose State alumnus, is survived by his wife Nicole Sylls and daughter, Gianna, mother Jessica Reyes, siblings Albert Reyes and Norma Rintala (John), and lots of family, including nieces and nephews Michael, Joseph, Alyssa, Veronica, Salena, Olivia, John, and Andrew. He is preceded in death by his father, Antonio S. Reyes.

A former elementary school classmate Shannon Ramiro wrote on the San Jose State Facebook page that "he was an extremely nice guy." She was friends with his sister and her parents knew him from bowling.
