Toy Drive for Foster Kids

Sleep Train Mattress Center's Secret Santa Toy drive lasts through Dec. 11, and donors can compete to win a Kindle Fire.

On Christmas Day, kids usually get gifts. But what happens to the kids who don't have stable homes?

's annual Secret Santa Toy Drive has kicked off and each store hopes to collect new and unwrapped toys, from now through Dec. 11, for California's foster children. Also this year, a toy donor could win a Kindle Fire.

"Foster children live in an uncertain world, where moving into a new home can happen anytime, even around the holidays," said Shauna Nuckles, a company spokeswoman. "Often forced to tearfully leave behind their toys, friends and even their clothing, a present on Christmas morning means the world to these kids, who seldom get anything brand new."
