Week Ahead: Horse-Betting at CHM, Concert at Cuesta Park

Stop by East West Bookstore, 324 Castro St., to listen to and participate in a meditation with Margaret Foster on Monday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m. She hopes to teach people how to explore their issues and how to overcome them through energy.

Visit the Computer History Museum, 1401 N Shoreline Blvd.,  and learn about how the horse-betting machine came to be and led to the growth of large-scale mechanical calculating machines from Bob Doran, emeritus professor of computer science at the University of Auckland. Registration free and open to the publicTuesday, July 16, 2013 at 12 p.m.

Enjoy some outdoor music with the city's summer concert series and stop by Cuesta Park on Thursday, July 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This week listen to Cold Feat, a seven piece band performing classic and contemporary R & B.

"Let's go to the movies! Let's go see the stars!" The City of Mountain View's Summer Outdoor Movie Night's Series' second film will be "Antz" this Friday, July 19 at Sylvan Park. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. Free and open to the public. Starts after dark.
