The Community School of Music and Arts presents Choral Fest: Sing, Snap & Swing, featuring students from the Mountain View Whisman School District’s nine elementary and middle school choruses, on Monday -- May 12 -- starting at 5 p.m. at Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View.

Each school group will sing one song on the Shoreline stage.

The show will open and close with all of the choruses, approximately 575 students, performing together.

Before the main stage performances begin, attendees can enjoy pre-show entertainment by the Graham Middle School Jazz Band on the picnic area side stage from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Performing alongside the students for the opening number is SoVoSo, an imaginative a cappella ensemble from Oakland.

SoVoSo sings a unique, rhythmic mix of jazz, gospel, world and R&B music in an improvisational style. Several SoVoSo members also perform with Bobby McFerrin’s a cappella group.

Admission and parking are FREE for this public event.

Gates and concessions open at 5 p.m., SoVoSo performs at 6 p.m., and student performances begin at 6:30 p.m.

Presented by CSMA and MVWSD; sponsored by CSMA, Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View, Mountain View Educational Foundation, and the Los Altos-Mountain View PTA Council.
