Local California family farmers bring their freshest fruits and vegetables to Los Altos to the delight of market goers.
Certified growers and producers harvest early Thursday for the evening market, bringing first cherries of the year from the Central Valley, super sweet strawberries from Watsonville, asparagus from Capay Valley, heirloom and organic vegetables from Aromas, field-cut flowers from Watsonville, organic pork and eggs from Los Altos, fresh baked specialty bread, and fresh caught fish.
Many market goers enjoy the prepared dinner options at the evening market ranging from BBQ, Mexican foods, to pizza, and rotisserie chicken, to name a few.
The Downtown Los Altos Farmers’ Market is a location approved by the Santa Clara County Agricultural
Commissioner where farmers offer for sale only those fruits and vegetables theygrow themselves.
The Los Altos Village Association sponsors the farmers’ market, which operates every Thursday, 4pm to 8pm, May 3rd through September 27th, rain or shine.
