Philein/ZiRu Productions Presents: The Art of Culture

A FREE, family-friendly afternoon of live music and dancing in the park, featuring Hip Hop & Tai Chi lessons for all ages, Arts & Crafts tables, and a Raffle for exciting prizes from local businesses and exclusive lessons from our company dancers & musicians!

This free outdoor event offers live dance and music performances, featuring 10-minute excerpts from upcoming show, Zero Hour, every hour (at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm).

Free Hip Hop, Tai Chi, Martial Arts, and Drumming lessons will be offered throughout the afternoon by company dancers and musicians. Children of all ages can create Chinese fans and decorate Chinese notebooks at the Arts and Crafts table.

Philein/ZiRu Productions will raffle off gift certificates for local businesses and coupons for dance and music lessons with production members throughout the event. Proceeds from this raffle will be used to support Philein/ZiRu Productions 2011-2012 performances of Zero Hour, add live performances by Chinese American musicians to the collaborative process, and invite local school children to rehearse and perform in special sections of the show to deepen and broaden the company’s impact within the community.

This free family-friendly event promises to be a fun afternoon of artistic exploration into Chinese-American culture. For additional information on The Art of Culture and the Fall 2011 performances of Zero Hour, visit www.ziruproductions.com.
