Get Out! Spooky Haunted Houses

There's a lot to do in Mountain View and nearby this weekend.

Bike Party Halloween Ride

  • What: The Peninsula Bike Party's annual Halloween Ride will visit two haunted houses and an historic cemetery on a 22-mile scary bike tour that will include some dark and spooky streets.
  • Where: Start at the Mountain View Caltrain Station at 7:30 p.m., terminating at the Redwood City Caltrain Station. The route includes Mountain View, Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, and Redwood City.
  • When: Friday, Oct. 26
  • Cost: Free, bring your bike!

Annual Kids' Monster Bash

  • What: The City of Mountain View presents a Monster Bash. Come experience this festive and free family event. Halloween themed games and activities lead up to the feature presentation, Monster House, shown in the park! This fun event starts at 5 p.m. Bring chairs and blankets as the community comes together for an entertaining night of games, refreshments, a movie and lots of family friendly fun! 
  • Where: Rengstorff Community Center and Park
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 27 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Cost: Free

  • What: Outlet is having a haunted house for LGBTQ youth. It's the first time they are hosting a haunted house.
  • Where: CHAC, at 711 Church St. Mountain View, CA.
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 27 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Halloween Never Ends

  • What: Stop by Rengstroff House for a fun and spooky event. Experience a mummy unwrapping, a séance, a lugubrious house of mourning and much much more. Relive the eerie happenings that have been reported over the decades since the last Rengstorff descendants vacated the house in 1959. Treat yourself to a guided tour of one of California’s favorite haunted houses.
  • Where: Rengstorff House, 3070 N. Shoreline Blvd, Mountain View, CA 94043
  • When: Friday, Nov. 2 and Saturday, Nov. 3. Friday from 7 to 10:20 p.m.;  Saturday 7 to 10:40 p.m. Tours leave every 20 minutes
  • Cost: $11.00 through ticketderby or $15.00 at the door.
