Get Out: Sip Champagne, Teen Open Mic and Rugby

Join others for a tasting of premier champagnes from the historic family-owned House of Henriot and food pairings with each Champagne from Chef Hector, Friday, Oct. 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at at 400A Villa St. Mountain View. This is a walk-around tasting event. Price: $26.79. Five dollar of the tasting fee will be credited back towards a purchase of any of these champagnes.

2. Ira Marlowe at Red Rock

Songwriter and guitarist Ira Marlowe visits the South Bay from Oakland to make you swoon. He sounds like Michael Stipe from REM, looks like Bob Dylan but has a style and lyrical all his own. Stop by Red Rock after sipping champagne at Artisan Wine Depot. Starts at a 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21.

3. Play About the Big Easy After Katrina

After the physical devastation of areas of New Orleans, how does a family rebuild itself? That's what TheatreWork's new production of "Clementine in the Lower 9" at the will tackle from Oct. 5 until Oct. 30. Check online for schedules and tickets. Contains brief nudity and mature language.

4. Support Local Teens at Red Rock

Some people have raw talent. Others have to work really hard to 'make it.' You be the judge of how the local teen scene matches up during the city's Teen Open Mic night at , Saturday, Oct. 22 from 7 to 10 p.m.

5. Revel in the Competition

Watch the Rugby World Cup Final live at this Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 a.m.. Yes! That's Saturday night! It's New Zealand versus France.
