Back-to-School School Supplies Drive to Benefit CSA Thursday

The Chamber of Commerce Mountain View's young professional group will host a drive at Scott's Seafood.

Not every parent in Mountain View can afford to get their child all of their school supplies for school.

For this reason Yipee—the young professionals group of the Chamber of Commerce—will partner with Scott's Seafood restaurant for a back-to-school drive to benefit the Community Services Agency.

The event takes place Thursday, Aug. 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 420 Castro St. This is the third year that Yipee will host this event.

Guests to the school supplies drive in 2012 brought nearly 450 pieces with an estimated value of $1000 for local students in the Mountain View and Los Altos area.

Scott's will provide a $50 dollar gift card as a prize fora guest that brings school supplies.

Update and correction at 4:30 p.m.: The original article incorrectly stated that the drive was for backpacks. It is actually only for school supplies.
