A new Thai restaurant opens up in the Monta Loma Plaza at the former Canton Chinese Fast Food location.

There's a new Thai restaurant, Bangkok Bistro, that opened its doors on Friday, Aug. 17 at 580 N. Rengstorff Ave., at the Monta Loma Plaza.
Chef-owner Phrommet "Lek" Phromthong moved to Mountain View from Denver where he ran Thai Bistro, winner of various "Best of" and "Reader's Choice" awards.
