Erectile Dysfunction, Weight Loss Pills Gain FDA Approval

The Federal Drug Administration approved two pills developed by a Mountain View bio-medical company recently. The pill Qysmia, produced by Vivus, taken daily along with a reduced-calorie diet and physical activity is supposed to help individual loose weight. The most common adverse reactions for patients treated with Qsymia included tingling sensation of hands and feet, dizziness, altered taste, insomnia, constipation and dry mouth.

Also approved from Vivus, the erectile dysfunction pill Stendra can be taken by men 30 before any sexual activity and should only be taken once a day. Make sure check the safety and side effect information. The most common side effects of STENDRA are headache, flushing, runny nose and congestion.

Several publicly traded Mountain View companies announced earnings in the past week.

Revenue for Audience, a provider of intelligent voice and audio solutions that improve voice quality and the user experience of mobile devices, increased in the second quarter of 2012 to $33.4 million, compared with $24.9 million for the same period in 2011. Income grew too.

The photo-imaging revolution has now come to a traditional software company. Mountain View-based Lytro announced on July 24 that the Lytro Desktop Application is now available for Windows. A Lytro camera lets users focus after they take a photo because the camera captures the entire light field--including 3D. The Lytro software can be used with both Mac and Windows operating systems. This follows a June announcement about the ability to embed Lytro pictures on Twitter.
