It's nice to head over to a pumpkin patch, pick out what you think would make a great Jack-o-Lantern, carve it out and then save the pulp for pie and the seeds for roasting.

Around Mountain View, local businesses also get creative during Halloween with new food items, some that make your kids giggle or gasp, and others that you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

At Hobee's through the end of the month, there a some ghost cookies and probably other sweets.

Red Rock Coffee shared its delicious pumpkin spice latte over Twitter and used only 140 characters to do so! Here it is:

@redrockcoffee For the 10oz PSL: pull 2oz espresso into 2t PS syrup & 1t vanilla syrup in cup; steam 8oz milk together w 1t PS (powder); pour milk into cup

Translation: For a 10 ounce cup of the umpkin Spice Latte combine 2 ounce shot of espresso with 2 teaspoons of pumpkin syrup and 1 teaspoon of vanilla syrup in cup; steam 8 ounces of milk together w 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice powder; pour milk into cup and enjoy!
