New Walmart Neighborhood Market Hiring 95 People

The company has set up a hiring center in Sunnyvale.

Walmart is looking to hire an estimated 95 people for its new San Jose 'neighborhood market,' officials tell Patch.

The store, which is set to open this spring at 4080 Stevens Creek Boulevard in San Jose, isn't yet complete, so a hiring center has been set up in Sunnyvale.

Those interested in applying can head over to 1214 Apollo Way, Suite 404-1, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Most of those hired will begin work in April, to help prepare the store for its grand opening, according to Walmart representatives.

“I began my career with Walmart 11 years ago as a cart pusher and am excited to open a new Walmart Neighborhood Market in San Jose this spring,” said Store Manager Ryan Plesha. “We look forward to offering job opportunities to San Jose area residents and are looking for candidates who are eager, have great customer service skills and want to be part of our team.”

Walmart provides benefits to both full and part-time workers, including matching 401(k) contributions of up to 6 percent of pay, discounts on general merchandise, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and company-paid life insurance, according to representatives.
