Today's Computer History? The Birth of the Apple II

Right in our backyard, a tiny little celebration is taking place for a big technological innovation.

The politely reminded its Facebook fans that the Apple II celebrates it's 35th birthday today.

They wrote:

"Originally demoed by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak at The West Coast Computer Faire on April 16 and 17, 1977, the Apple II brought computing to millions of new users with its built-in BASIC programming language, color display and user-friendly case."

Jobs who grew up in Mountain View before his parents moved to Los Altos, where the Apple II was created, founded Apple Computers with Wozniak. Now simply called Apple and located in Cupertino, the company has revolutionized not just the world of personal computing, but also music and other industries.
