Earthquake Recap: Small Quakes Hit Region

Nearly a dozen small earthquakes hit the Silicon Valley region this week, but they were too small for most to feel.

Ten small earthquakes made waves on the Richter scale around Silicon Valley this week, with the largest measured at 1.8, four kilometers outside of Half Moon Bay, according to data gathered by the U.S. Geological Survey.

Generally, earthquakes that fail to break the 2.0-mark on the scale are difficult to feel far from the epicenter.
