Earthquake Recap: Week's Largest Earthquake Hits Near Hillsborough

22 small earthquakes hit the Silicon Valley region this week, including several large enough for residents to feel.

Out of 22 small earthquakes around Silicon Valley this week, the largest was a magnitude 2.3 that hit 2.5 miles outside of Hillsborough, according to data gathered by the U.S. Geological Survey.

Generally, an earthquake that breaks the 2.0-mark on the Richter scale can be felt outside of the epicenter.
