Highway 85 reopens after crash

Speeding motorist sustained injuries; two lanes of traffic were blocked in Mountain View

The California Highway Patrol has canceled a Sig-Alert for a crash on state Highway 85 in Mountain View that sent one person to the hospital with major injuries and blocked two lanes of traffic.

The crash was reported at 5:41 a.m. on Highway 85 at Fremont Avenue, when a male driver who was reportedly speeding north on the roadway lost control of his truck and crashed.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and suffered major injuries, according to the CHP.

The blocked lanes reopened around 8:45 a.m.
