Honoring Our Veterans on Thursday

Mountain View Patch wants to hear and share the sacrifices and contributions of veterans.

On Veterans Day, the nation honors the men and women of the military who have served in the theater of war in order to protect the values and freedoms of the people of the United States.

On Thursday, Mountain View Patch will participate in honoring our veterans with stories and photos of service members and their families.

However, we need your help.

If you are a veteran or know someone who is, please e-mail the editor to contribute to a special nationwide Patch series to run this Veterans Day.

The series can include interviews and video stories on veterans and an open photo gallery with opportunity for comments.

On Veterans Day, Patch will cover the San Jose Veteran's Day Parade hosted by the United Veterans Council of Santa Clara County. The opening ceremony starts at 11 a.m., and the parade departs at noon from Cesar Chavez Plaza.
