The MVLA Soccer Club, with help from the Mountain View Library, is starting a speaker series on topics of interest to community members involved in youth sports.  MVLA is pleased to introduce its first speaker event:

--What to do if a Concussion is Suspected

--Treatment 

--When to Return to School and Play

--Computerized Concussion Testing

Angie and Colleen are both MVLA parents, and
through brainonlosaltos2@gmail.com they provide baseline concussion testing and follow
up testing, education, referrals to physicians and PT's, recommendations for
return to school, activity and sport.

 Colleen O’Kane, DPT, MS, OCS -

*Over 20 years working as a physical therapist in orthopedics and sports with children and adults as well as neurology with brain injured youth and young adults.
* Owner of Bodies In Motion Physical Therapy in Los Altos
*Focus in clinical practice is on rehabilitation from injury and return to activity, school, work, and sports safely and with better muscle balance and proper technique. Additional consideration is placed on maintaining activity and sports in the long term by focusing on training, balanced strength development, and proper form.
