2012 markes the 20th year of Bethlehem A.D., a South Bay Christmastime tradition that recreates the ancient village of Bethlehem on the night of the first Christmas. FREE to the public, visitors walk through the village interacting with costumed actors; camels and other exotic animals; mingling with Roman centurions, tax collectors, census takers, village craftspeople, and folk dancers. Angels on rooftops move to a beautiful musical soundtrack. The Holy Family in the Manger is a reminder to all of the true "Reason for the Season". Free donuts, coffee, and cider are served across the street from the event. A memorable and fun experience for the entire family. Dec. 21, 22, 23, from 6pm to 9:30pm nightly. 1305 Middlefield Road in Redwood City, near Main. Follow the searchlight in the sky to Bethlehem A.D. !
