What is Growing in the Mud?

Discover Bacterial Communities!

Part of the Adult Summer Science Series

This hands-on workshop will give participants the opportunity to build a Winogradsky column to take home. Winogradsky columns are a tool used in microbial ecology to grow bacterial communities and examine how growth conditions affect the make up of the communities.

Please bring a plastic bottle to use for your column.

Participants must be 14 years or older.
