An Evening with Gil Penalosa

Gil Peñalosa, the former Commissioner of Parks, Sports, and Recreation for the City of Bogotá, Colombia, has led the effort to create one of the most successful and celebrated parks and recreation systems in the world. He has effectively initiated the “new Cicolvia” – car-free Sundays – where over 1.3 million people come out weekly to walk, run, skate and bike along 121 kilometers of Bogotá’s city roads.

Join us on Monday, June 4 for “An Evening with Gil Peñalosa,” a special Grand Boulevard Initiative event. He will speak about his experience and passion for improving the quality of life and health for all residents everywhere through walking and cycling.
