Day Worker Center Holds a Community Forum

This is an “open house” type of event. Display tables will be set up. Our sewing, handicrafts, and recycled materials projects will be highlighted, with examples of the workers’ finished products and the teachers of those classes present. The idea behind these programs is to encourage self-sufficiency and help workers develop another income stream.

There will also be a presentation, with time at the end for questions and comments. Refreshments will be served.

The event aims both to introduce those unfamiliar with the Center to what we do and the programs we offer, and to showcase what we’ve been up to for those who already know us. It is a time to receive feedback from the community.
