Best of Patch: Where to Buy a Great Sandwich

With so many great places to eat, Patch wondered which one you thought had the best sandwich.

Whether you like pastrami on rye, smoked ham with swiss and dijon or a classic grill cheese, we're asking you to share your favorite place to indulge in your favorite comfort food—the sandwich.

Our inaugural Best of Patch contest kicks off this week sandwiched between two pieces of bread—like whole wheat, ciabatta or bagel or any other delicious grain.

This week we're looking for the best place in town to buy a sandwich.

Here are some of our favorite places, but if we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments in the section below. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

So tell us what your favorite place is to bite into a BLT, BBQ chicken, or tuna salad. And don't forget to tell us in the comments below why.

We love the sandwiches at Lakeshore Cafe on Shoreline Lake. Plus, it's like taking a mini-vacation every time I go out there.

Thanks Ellen. I have to admit I haven't been to the cafe, though I've heard about the great pastries they have. I will make it a point to stop by soon...and I agree. Sitting by the lake does transport you. It's so peaceful!

I really like the sandwiches (specifically the BLAT on a croissant) above Books Inc at Caffe Romanza. And they have some of the best Thai Iced Tea you can get anywhere in Mountain View!
