Books, Inc. on Castro Is Drop-Off Site for 'Gift of Reading' Drive

Nonprofit education organization encourages donation of books at designated area donation locations for needy children.

The nonprofit Resource Area for Teaching (RAFT) organization is sponsoring once again its annual holiday book drive through Friday, Dec. 13.

New and like-new children’s books are being accepted, which will bring the magic of books to Santa Clara County children who need it most.

Several of Santa Clara County Library District libraries are drop-off locations where book donations can be placed in Gift of Reading collection barrels.

The drop-off locations are: 

  • Los Gatos: Los Gatos Library, 100 Villa Ave.
  • Los Gatos: Santa Clara County Library Administration building, 14600 Winchester Blvd.
  • Saratoga: Christa McAuliffe School, 12211 Titus Ave.
  • Campbell: Recycle Bookstore, 275 E. Campbell Ave.
  • Sunnyvale: Leigh's Favorite Books, 121 So. Murphy Ave.
  • Sunnyvale: Bookasaurus, 125 So. Murphy Ave.
  • Los Altos: Linden TreeChildren's books, 265 State St.
  • Los Altos Library, 13 So. San Antonio Rod
  • Menlo Park: Kepler's Books, 1010 El Camino Real
  • Milpitas: Milpitas Library, 160 No. Main St.
  • Mountain View: Books, Inc., 301 Castro St.
  • Morgan Hill: BookSmart, 80 East 2nd St.
  • Morgan Hill: Morgan Hill Library, 660 West Main Ave.
  • Newark: BookSmart, 1083 Newpark Mall
  • Palo Alto: Books, Inc. 855 El Camino Real
  • Redwood City: Resource Area For Teaching, 101 Twin Dolphin Drive
