I'm Elly - Outgoing, Sweet and Affectionate

I've been at the shelter way too long. Please take me home. I'm a "Home for the Holidays" adoptee available for $12.

Elly is a white and gray domestic shorthair available for adoption for just $12 at Palo Alto Animal Services as part of its annual "Home for the Holidays" program.

Elly was found loose in Palo Alto in May and no one ever came to claim her. She is very outgoing and sweet. She loves attention from people, affection from people, and being fed by people. She even gets along with other cats!

She is a spayed female, about 5 years old, and has been at the shelter since May 21, 2013.

Palo Alto Animal Services is among six shelters in Santa Clara County that hope to find homes for some 1,300 animals and are offering $12 adoption fees -- down from $90 to $120  -- for any adult cat or dog through Dec. 31.

The $12 fee covers all benefits such as spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation and registration, vaccinations, defleaing and deworming and FIV/FeLV testing for cats.

Palo Alto Animal Services, 3281 E. Bayshore Road, is open for adoptions from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, except for holidays, and closed every other Friday. See its Facebook page here.
