The Viewfinder: YIPEE Takes Over Francesca's

Downtown Mountain View's bars and restaurants get all the attention, but did you know that all the partying may have actually begun up on Old Middlefield Way?

, which has been at the same location on 2135 Old Middlefield Way for 51 years and claims to be the oldest bar in the city, hosted the February professional networking mixer for YIPEE. YIPEE is the Chamber of Commerce's young professional group.

Mike and his wife Samantha Baker, whose mother Francesca owns the bar, manage the spot which has two pool tables, 12 beers on tap and possibly the only Philly Cheese Steak in the city.

But on Thursday, Feb. 23 it was karaoke night and many YIPEE attendees enjoyed the singing and dancing. Full disclosure: I love karaoke and got the singing started with Gloria Estefan's 'Conga.'
