Mountain View Death Notices: Mar. 5 to Mar. 27

A World War II airship pilot, a children's theater director and Mountain View teacher for 25 years died these last few weeks.

Christina Stallings, a Belmont resident and former Mountain View business-owner died on March 27, 2013. She was 83. In the 1980s, she opened Delia's Boutique in Mountain View. Prior to that she was hired as the first black flight attendant for British Airways.

Laura Ritchey Toby died in her Mountain View home on March 25, 2013. She was 57. A theater-major in college, Toby began to direct and produce children's theater. She battled cancer for six-years and supported cancer organizations.

Mary Tuck, a Sunnyvale resident and for Mountain View teacher for more than 25 years, died on March 23, 2013. She was 87.

Amanda A. Vargas, a San Jose-resident born in Mountain View and sister of local resident Ines Vente, died on March 22, 2013. She was 39.

Marche Ruth Nicholas a resident of Mountain View for 56 years and of the Rebekahs died on March 18, 2013 from Alzheimers. She was 88.

Raymond Robet Willhard a resident of Vacaville, who during World War II learned to fly dirigibles at Moffett Field and flew the airships around Europe, died on March 5. He was 91.
