Obituary: Regina Draganowski (1934-2012)

A devoted wife, mother and member of her church and community died at age 78.

Regina Draganowski passed away suddenly at her home in Mountain View on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at the age of 78.

Born in Poznan, Poland on July 9, 1934, Draganowski escaped to London due to the ravages of World War II. There she met the love of her life, Chester Draganowski.

Together they settled in Mountain View in 1956 and had 2 children, Monica and Andrew. Besides her family, Draganowski loved her parish, St. Brother Albert Polish Mission in San Jose. She was very devoted to her faith and church, and along with her husband, Draganowski was instrumental in raising funds for its development.

A past president of the Polish board, she also volunteered to feed the homeless. Regina enjoyed baking, her roses, and all her church activities and friends. She is survived by her children and son-in-law Gar.

The vigil service was held Monday, Nov. 5 at Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary, 96 W. El Camino Real, in Mountain View and the funeral mass on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at St. Brother Albert Polish Mission. Her interment was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos.
