5-4-3-2 ... Big Day!

One of my favorite movies of all time, Pretty Woman, had a starting and ending scene of a man challenging passersby on the dream that brought them to Hollywood, because everyone in Hollywood had to have been driven there by a dream! Well, talking about dreams (or, maybe anticipations), this newly-discovered site, SocialCountdown, has been keeping me quite energetic mentally. Nice, simple idea with a pretty layout, it forces me to remember I have a lot I'm expecting. I've been eagerly creating countdowns to share as well as privately keep a tab on my planning and other things I'm looking forward to experiencing, getting or becoming, plus some others I can't wait to get past. Many other people also have been creating interesting countdowns, sometimes with beautiful backgrounds, like this countdown and this one and this too. The site periodically sends emails to the countdown owners and everyone they include (friends, loved ones, acquaintances, co-workers etc), and also keeps everyone in touch with one another through the commenting section. And the fun doesn’t end there - for those who have websites, there are really cute countdown widgets to incorporate in your pages. Definitely worth falling in love with counting!
