Bobcats Youth Rugby Club to be Ball Runners at Stanford on Jan 28th.

Mountain View Bobcats Rugby Club to put on a display of youth rugby at Stanford University on Saturday before match against Cal Berkeley.

The have been selected by Stanford University Rugby Club to provide all the ball runners for the 4 games that will take place at Steuber Stadium, this coming Saturday, Jan 28. This is a particularly special event as the men's team from Cal Berkley, the currest U.S. College Champions, will be visiting Standford this Saturday.

Ball runners are positioned on the touch-line and help retrieve the ball when it is kicked out of play; they are important to keep the game flowing properly.

In addition, the MV Bobcat Kids will play a "Curtain Raiser" scrimmage before the main event of the day: Stanford Mens 1st XV vs Cal Berkley Mens 1st VX.

This is a great endorsement of our club and what we are trying to achieve here in Mountain View. Our kids will take center stage alongside some of the top college rugby talent in the State and indeed in the US. We hope it will prove to be motivational and that the children will start to develop roles models. You never know the Stanford, or Cal, players who run out onto the field in 5-10 years time, may just be some of the same Bobcat kids who served at ball runners this weekend!

Hope you can come and support!
