Mountain View Youth Rugby Club Seeks Donations for Feb. 23 Fundraiser

Help us keep the cost of participation in youth sport low for players and their families and offer more scholarships

Rugby has a unique tradition of encouraging good sportsmanship and character development. Our local youth rugby team, the Mountain View Bobcats, is carrying on those traditions. This season, sixty Bobcat players ranging from ages 6 to 13 are learning to play the game and developing key life skills such as leadership and teamwork.

On Saturday, Feb. 23, our club will host a Crab Feed and silent auction to celebrate our 4th season - and to support the club financially as we grow from a group of parent volunteers with eager kids, to a mature club with multiple teams, certified coaches to pass on those great rugby traditions.

Would you please help us by donating a gift certificate or item for the silent auction?

Tickets for the Crab Feed have almost sold out so we’ll have 100 guests bidding on the items. We hope that fundraising will allow us to keep the cost of participation low for players and their families --  as well as offering player scholarships to families in need again next year.

As thanks we’ll be happy to acknowledge your gift on our web site www.ayru.net and Facebook page, as well as encouraging our rugby families to support your business.

Mountain View Bobcats Youth Rugby club is part of the American Youth Rugby Union (AYRU) Inc. a public benefit corporation; (our 501C (3) Non-profit status tax application is pending IRS approval). We anticipate IRS approval in March.  Any donation you make will be 100% tax deductible and we are happy to provide you with a gift receipt.

Thank you for your support for our players.  Please contact me if you are able to help.

Sincerely,

Paul Lynch

We think it will be really fun and entertaining but also a great way to exercise without evenRead More realizing it's exercise! So glad you agree, Claudia! David Dworkin is terrific all around.

Mark, I will contact the SCC Coroner's office for information about his identity and then hopefullyRead More that can help us learn more about this man. I can only imagine how horrible this must have been.

My heart goes out to his family. I'm really saddened that the person who hit him is going to haveRead More to deal with guilty feelings/horrible memories from this, even though it was 0% his fault. If someone wants to take their own life, then that's terribly sad, but I think it's especially terrible to involve or potentially involve someone else in the process.

My daughter and I saw the man climbing down the fence and deliberately drop himself down into the onRead More coming traffic! It was a very gruesome thing to see. I would be interested in knowing something about this person. I feel horrible for him and his loved ones.

I'm not sure Gary. I'm not sure if your situation is specific to you or many other users since thisRead More is the first day of the redesign. I'll find out and get back to you.
